Allergy safety in schools (Department for Education)

Statutory guidance for governing bodies of maintained schools and proprietors of academies in England - Updated in July 2026. This document is statutory guidance issued under section 100 of the Children and Families Act 2014, as amended by section 34 of the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026,setting out how local authority (LA) maintained schools, academies and pupil referral units (PRUs) should fulfil their statutory duty to put allergy safety policies in place.
